There's a lot that I love about knitting. I love choosing the yarn and pattern and then stitching everything together. Mostly, I love finishing a project and giving it to someone I love. This morning, I finished a pair of fingerless mitts for my cousin James. They were promised last Christmas but the point of the story is that they are done. I will be mailing them off this afternoon on my way to work.
There are a few other things in my basket that need finishing. Like the mittens, they too, have been sitting there and pondering when they will be cast off and bestowed upon loved ones. The answer? I cannot say. Maybe this week on my days off, but don't get your hopes too high.
